Introduction
If you have an "External Partner" (Supplier) user role on Logivity platform, you can book transports on behalf of your customer.
Instructions

Start by clicking on "Create" button in Control.

Select you shipment template in the template drop-down menu. Your shipment details will be pre-populated with details, specified in the selected template. Click "Next" to continue.

Check the address details. Some fields will be locked and not editable, in this case the text boxes will be greyed out. If you have an assigned pick up day and time window, that will be specified under "Opening hours" (1).
Populate the mandatory missing information, such as pick-up date (2) and delivery date (3). When adding delivery date, please take into account your lead time if that is specified above the "date selection" box (4).
You can also add contact person information for pick-up and delivery if you wish.
Once location details are complete, proceed to the next step. -
Carrier details will be pre-populated by template and "Shipment #" will be generated by the system once you save your shipment. You do not need to add any information in this step. Proceed to the next step.
- In the last step you need to add details of the items that will be transported - cargo details. You can configure:
- A Unique Transport Unit - one unique item of specific dimensions and weight, that there is only one of in the cargo you are booking
- A Transport Unit Group - if you have several items (pallets, cartons, containers) that are all of the same type
Configuring a Unique Transport Unit
A Unique Transport Unit means one unique item of specific dimensions and weight, that there is only one of in the cargo you are booking for this transport. The only mandatory input in this case is weight of your item (1). You can add more details - such as dimensions and type if you wish. Specify if the unit is stackable, and if needed, additional details (2).
Configuring a Transport Unit Group
Transport Unit Group means if you have several items (pallets, cartons, containers) that are all of the same type you can book them all in one go by grouping them. Mandatory input for Transport unit groups is:
- Number of units (pallets, cartons, containers)
- Total weight for the item group
You can add more details - such as dimensions and type if you wish. Specify if the unit is stackable, and if needed, additional details (3).
You can combine both unit types on your shipment and have as many transport units as you need. To add next transport unit to your cargo details, please click on "Add another Transport Unit to transport Order" (4).
6. Once you have added your cargo details, scroll down to the "Transport Order summary" section and add total Loading Meters for your shipment.
Please remember to input loading meters as it is required for the invoicing process!
7. Once all the details for the cargo information are filled in, click next and review your shipment details. If necessary, go back and make corrections, otherwise click "Create" and the system will save your shipment and send it to the carrier for transport execution.
