Introduction
Real Emissions service introduces the opportunity to calculate the carbon footprint of your shipments in real time, using live data from your truck. This innovative approach allows you to track and assess the environmental impact of your deliveries as they happen.
Prerequisites
To use Real Emissions service you need to be onboarded to Visibility service in your Logivity account. You can check this by going into "Settings" (1) in your vertical navigation, select "Services" tab (2) and check if the checkbox next to "Logivity Visibility" is ticked (3) and your Visibility access is configured (4).
Instructions for onboarding to Logivity Visibility can be found here:

Instructions
Enable emissions tracking
When you have Visibility service activated and configured, Real Emissions service will be enabled automatically.
- To start the emissions tracking on your shipments, accept a shipment.
- When entering Proof of pick-up (PoP), in addition to pick-up date & time (1), please add a license plate number (2) and fuel type (3). Once PoP with these details is added, emissions tracking will be enabled.
- When entering Proof of Arrival (PoA), add the date & time for the arrival (1). License plate number and fuel type will be pre-populated based on the values you provided previously.
See your emission values on shipments
You will see your emissions data under each of your shipments in the overview tab. When emissions data is being received successfully the green bar at the bottom of shipment overview tab will display "Real CO2 emissions" label under which your emissions data will be shown. There is also an information button button, hover over it to get more details about the "Real CO2 emissions" label, an example is shown below.
When you are not connected to Real Emissions service, or emissions data is not being received by Logivity, you will see "Calculated CO2 emissions" label instead, which will display a calculated CO2 value based on the criteria provided for a particular transport. Once again, to find out more information about what "Calculated CO2 emissions" label means, hover over the information button, an example is shown below.
