Introduction
This article explains how carrier users can book, manage, and respond to time slots for shipments assigned to them within Logivity.
What is Time Slot?
The Time Slot service allows carriers to reserve specific times for loading and unloading at shipper-defined logistics facilities. This reduces congestion and improves coordination between carriers and sites.
Prerequisites
- Access to Logivity Control
- Shipment(s) assigned to your organization
- Facility must be defined and linked to shipment locations

Instructions
How to book a time slot
Please note that you can only add a shipment to one time slot.
Go to shipments in Logivity Control and locate the shipment that you would like to book a time slot for:
In the status column, click on the drop-down (1) and choose status called "Book Time Slot" (2).
Choose a time you wish to book for loading or offloading (1) and add additional information specified in the instructions from the shipper (such as license plate number as shown in the example below). Confirm your booking (2). Your time slot booking will appear in the system (3).
The time slots you have booked will be visible on your shipments in Logivity Control shipment list.
It is important to adhere to shipper instructions in time slot bookings. Your time slot start time is a hard deadline and it is important to arrive in time for the loading/unloading time slot start.
How to add several shipments to one time slot
If you have a number shipments being picked up from the same location/being delivered to the same location on the same day, you can book several shipments on one time slot.
Book a time slot for several shipments from the shipment list
To book a time slot for several shipments from the shipment list, select one of the shipments you wish to book a time slot for (1), in the status drop-down, select "Book time slot" (2).
You will be prompted to enter the time slot booking details for the shipment you selected (1). From here you can add more shipments to the same time slot. Available shipments will be displayed lower down on the screen. Simply click on "Add to time slot" button and the shipments will be added to the same time slot booking (2). Fill in the booking details adding the necessary information required from the shipper, and save your time slot booking (3). All selected shipments will be updated with the time slot booking details.
Book time slots for several shipments from the Time Slot Overview
To begin, navigate to the Time Slot Overview (1) and select the relevant location (2).
Select the relevant pick-up/delivery date (3) and click on a time slot you wish to book (4).
The system will display shipments available to book for your selected time slot. Click on "Add to time slot" next to each shipment that you wish to add (5).
Fill in the booking details adding the necessary information required from the shipper (6), and save your time slot booking (7). All selected shipments will be updated with the time slot booking details.
How to edit/cancel your time slot booking
Please note that you can only edit the time slot booking made by your organization. Changes to booked time slots can be made in case of ETA changes, shipment cancellations or any other reasons affecting your ability to meet previously booked time.
Edit or cancel your time slot booking from the shipment list
Locate the shipment that you wish to edit the time slot booking for. Click on the status drop-down menu (1) and click on "Book time slot" to access the existing time slot booking (2).
Close the shipment pop-up window (3).
Click the drop-down arrow on your existing time slot booking (4) and click "Cancel booking" (5).
If you do not need to book a new time slot, you don't need to do any further steps.
If you need to book a new time slot, please proceed to the step below.
If you need to book a new time slot, select the relevant time window (1) and add additional information specified in the instructions from the shipper (such as license plate number as shown in the example below). Click "Save changes" to confirm your new time slot booking (2).
Edit or cancel your time slot booking from the Time Slot Overview
In the Time Slot service (1), navigate to the relevant facility (2) and open the assignment overview by clicking on the arrow to the right (3).
Find your booking. To edit, click on the booking (1) and make necessary changes to the time slot you have booked (2). Confirm your changes, click "Save changes". To cancel, click on "Cancel booking" (3).
