Booking Full Container Load (FCL)

For Transport Buyers there is now a possibility to book a full container load transport for both standard and spot-buy transports. The shipment booking flow is very similar to LCL, where in addition to address, carrier and cargo details, commercial details can also be added to the booking.

For FCL shipments the booking flow includes the following additions:

1. Option to select "Full Container Load" configuration

2. Possibility to provide container details

Booking Air transport mode

It will now be possible to book "Air" transport mode in Logivity Connect and Loadboard services. To create an Air shipment, please select Air transport mode in the create shipment screen. The rest of the shipment creation flow follows the same process as today. You can:

  • Add pick-up/delivery address and requirements in the booking
  • Select carrier to carry out the transport (Connect) or carriers that should offer a bid (Loadboard)
  • Add transport order and transport unit details
  • Provide commercial details (incoterms, additional requirements and information)

Dangerous goods flag

As a first step for highlighting that a shipment contains hazardous materials, we are introducing a User Interface update. When a shipment contains dangerous goods, the system will highlight the flag in red. This update applies to shipments in both Connect and Loadboard services.

Cost allocation

Invoice Matching service now offers a possibility to configure cost allocation rules and highlight which shipments should be allocated to which cost areas.

You can access cost allocation functionality in the Invoice Matching service under "Settings" (1). Begin by setting up your Cost Center Management (2). You can have up to 8 cost center levels defining one cost area. For example if your cost areas consist of an account number + project number, define these cost center levels here (3).

Once you have set up your Cost Center Management, you can then define specific rules under "Cost Allocation Rules" tab (4).

In rules you can define different conditions for shipment cost allocation. It is possible to define a condition on any shipment field that is available in the service (1) . For example: pick-up country, delivery city, carrier, transport service, pick-up location etc. There are also different condition types (2), possibility to configure "AND" "OR" logic (3) , and an order of priority on rules in case there are overlapping criteria (4).

Once you have configured your rule, add values for cost center level so that the system can categorize shipments into relevant cost areas (5).
