Booking specific carrier services and add-ons

In Connect service transport buyers now have a possibility to create a shipment and include a specific carrier service and add-on services. To book carrier service, start creating a shipment. Follow through the steps 1 (Shipment type) and 2 (Stops). When you get to step 3, here you configure your carrier service choices and carrier details.

1. First, choose a carrier you wish to book transport with. If service details are available for the carrier you selected, two additional fields will appear on your screen: Carrier branch and Carrier service.
Please note: if service details for your selected carrier are not available in Logivity, additional fields will not appear. In this case you can only book transport with carrier's organization.

2. Choose a carrier branch you wish to book the service with. This can be a country-specific branch, global service, depending on which carrier you are booking with.

3. Choose a service you wish to book. This can be a parcel, pallet, home delivery and other services, depending on the carrier branch selection.

Fill in the rest of the necessary carrier details as well as your information as a shipper, and add shipment reference number.

Add-on services can then be booked in step 4 of shipment creation process. After having configured your Transport Order details, you will see a new drop-down menu under the Transport Order section called "Additional requests". Here you can select which additional services you wish to have added to your shipment.

In Connect and Loadboard you now have a possibility to also book LCL sea transport. In order to create an LCL shipment, start creating a shipment, and select "Sea" mode of transportation:

Configure pick-up and delivery location details. In this step no changes have been made. In step 3 (Loadboard) or step 4 (Connect), add your Transport order details. For LCL shipments you also need to configure commercial details, you will find this new section under Transport Order details in section "Shipment summary".

The rest of the shipment creation remains unchanged in Connect and Loadboard.

Placing multiple bids in Loadboard based on CO2 contribution

Carriers now have a possibility provide multiple bids (quotes) in Loadboard, giving transport buyer different CO2 contribution options. You follow the same process for placing a bid, however, now you can submit more than one bid as long as you provide different vehicle details. This functionality is available for Standard as well as Custom bids (where you can provide alternative pick-up/delivery options). There is also an option available for you to provide additional information to the transport buyer.

All bids with different vehicle details and different pick-up and delivery alternatives will be displayed as active bids to the transport buyer.

Copy shipment functionality in Loadboard

Similarly to functionality release in Connect service in December 2024, "Copy shipment" function is now also available in Loadboard.

To create a new shipment by using a copy of an existing shipment, please click on the "copy" button in the shipment row you wish to copy.

You will be taken to Create Shipment Offer window. Most of the data will be copied over for the new shipment, except for attachments. However, the fields remain editable in case you need to change something.

The only piece of information you will need to fill in is Shipment Reference Number, and configure your Bidding deadline.

You still have a possibility to save shipment offer details or the entire shipment offer as a template, even when you create a shipment copy. For information on how to create templates please refer to this article:
