Release information
December release will take place on 14th December 2024. This month's release includes new functionality for "Shipper" role and a number of general improvements for system operation and security.
What is changing?
- Functionality-wise this month we introduce a new function for Shipper users that allows to create a copy of an existing shipment.
Copy shipment functionality
As of 16th December it will be possible to copy existing shipments in Connect service, and re-use the shipment data to create new shipments. This functionality will be available for users with "Shipper" role in Logivity.
To create a new shipment by using a copy of an existing shipment please click on the "copy" button in the shipment row you wish to copy (1).
You will be taken to Create Shipment window. You'll notice that most of the data will be pre-populated since you are creating a copy of the existing shipment. Below you will find a description of each Create Shipment process step, with information about which data is editable and which data is not copied:
- Step 1: Shipment type - All details are copied and editable
- Step 2: Stops - All details are copied and are editable. Please double check that pick-up/delivery dates and times are correct according to your requirements, and update if necessary.
- Step 3: Transport Order - Only attachments are not copied. If any documents need to be added to the shipment, please upload them in this step.
- Step 4: Carrier - All details are copied and are editable. Please ensure to update the Shipment reference number, as Shipment reference number value has to be unique for each shipment.
You still have a possibility to save shipment details or the entire shipment as a template, even when you create a shipment copy. For information on how to create templates please refer to this article:
