Introduction
This article describes how a carrier can bid on shipment offers in the Loadboard service
Prerequisites
In order to bid on a shipment offer you need to be registered as a "carrier" on Logivity platform.
Instructions
Placing bids
When a new shipment offer is sent to you as a carrier, you will see it in your Loadboard shipment list. To place your bid, click on the bid button. Bidding options will be displayed in a pop-up window.
Standard bid - here you can choose yourself how much you would like to bid on this shipment offer. enter the bid amount (2) and click "Bid" to submit your bid to the Shipper.
Custom bid is possible when the Shipper has allowed "Custom bids" in the shipment offer. In custom bid you also specify the bid amount and suggest recommended pick-up date & time and/or recommended delivery date & time.
As a Carrier you can place both a Standard and Custom bid on the same shipment offer if Custom bid is allowed. Once you submit your standard bid, you will see an option to update your bid (1) in the respective shipment row.
Enter your Custom bid details. In this example Carrier suggest a cheaper cost for transport if the Shipper agrees to a slightly later delivery date.
As a Carrier you will then see your active bids in the "Bids" tab under shipment offer details.
The Shipper will then see both of your bids in their bid list and can choose the most suitable bid.

You can always cancel or update your bid. To cancel you bid click on "Cancel" (1). To update your bid click on "Update Bid" and add a new price (2). You will then see that your previous bid has been inactivated (3) and the latest price shows as active (4).
If the shipment offer award decision has been made by the Shipper, you will see the status update in your Loadboard shipment list view.
Shipment Notes
You have a possibility to add internal notes to each shipment offer in your list. Notes, added to shipments, will only be visible to users within your organization. Please avoid using any personal / sensitive information in the shipment notes.
To add or edit a note, click on the notebook icon on the right hand side of the shipment row in your list (1). A pop-up window will be shown (2).
Click on "Edit notes" (1) and add or edit a note on a shipment (2). Once you have finished, click on "Save changes" (3).
In your shipment offer list you can see if a note has been added to the shipment offer. If the note has been added, the notebook will be green (1). You can click on the icon to see the note pop-up (2).
When there is no note on the shipment offer, the icon will be gray (3).
